Find a Doctor: 

  • You need a doctor with TBI experience who makes time to care.

  • you are in charge they are advising you

  • ask lots of questions  

  • regularly identify all of your issues with tests.

  • Keep Trying Shit:  TBI treatment evolves, so must we.

  • Research Research Research:  Verify your sources. 

  • Logically Analyze Everything You Do

    • Lift weights, run, walk, do therapy exercises, go for treatment. 

    • You will be better, smarter, stronger, saner, and happier.

Brain Health

  • It is All About the Brain

  • Stop Drinking Now:  It adversely affects every aspect of your recovery.

  • Fast Intermittently:

  • Take Brain Supplements:

  • Eat Brain Food: 

Family Care

  • Check Yourself Before You Wreck Yourself:  TBI can make you a grumpy and depressed.  If your people seem withdrawn and different;

  • It is not them, it’s you!

  •  Get some help! 

Motivational

  • Make a Big Goal:  Example, “I will again become the “Full Bakken” fearless, durable and capable.”

  • Stop Being a Ninny:  Motivate yourself using these phrases or your own.

    • My Favorite: Stop your simpering, and suck it the F up!!

    • Kinder and Gentler:  Look at you…You’re doing great.  Keep up the good work.

  • Start a Recovery Journal:  Feel free to use TBI 4 TG 

  • Document Your Progress

  • Make Small Goals:  Examples,

  • “I will Suck it the F up and crush another set of dips,

  • I will lift 4 times this week,

  • I will take all my supplements & meds on time,

  • I will go to therapy on Friday and 

  • I will call my mother.”
